Show Lindon DUP Camp Holds Meeting Last Thursday The Daughters of the Utah Pioneers Pio-neers of the Lindon Camp met at the home of Eloise Isaksen, Thursday Thurs-day afternoon for their monthly meeting. Captain Dora Fisher conducted con-ducted a short business meeting. She discussed, the camp dues, registration, and suggested a committee com-mittee to compile and publish a book for the Lindon Camp. The book is to include stories on historical his-torical locations and events that took place in the early settling of Lindon. Mrs. Fisher also read a letter from the Central Company outlining out-lining the desire and need, for relics in the museum. She told of the National Convention that will be held at the Hotel Utah in Salt Lake City, April 5. Air members are invited to attend. Mable Harris read a history of Mary Hemingway Healy. She told how she joined the LDS Church in England and was baptized, later coming to Utah. The lesson "Indian Tribes and their dealings with the Mormons" was presented by Margaret Hold-away. Hold-away. She was assisted by Irene Ostergaard telling the history of Mary Mountain, an Indian girl raised and cared for by the family of Elnathan Eldredge, a pioneer family related to Irene on her mother's side of the family. Prayers were given by Eva Thorne and Thelma Harris. Tasty refreshments were served by the hestess, Eloise Isaksen, assisted by Delia Smith. The next meeting will be at the home of Thelma Harris, April 8, at 2 p.m. |
