Show Manila Scouts Hold Outstanding Program Recently One of the outstanding programs in connection with Boy Scout week was that held in Manila Ward, a Year of Scouting with Troop 26. The fine affair was directed by K. Adams, scoutmaster and assistant as-sistant scoutmaster J. H. Harvey, with all 20 members of the troop participating. There were pictures and slides of their activities in 1956 and each scout gave his name and1 rank and told of his activities. Special advancement and awards had been made to all the scouts at an earlier meeting in the afternoon. after-noon. This is said to be the only trcop in the Timpanogos Stake to receive and honor troop award with special spec-ial emblems. In troop 26 there are three Eagle Scouts, Kenneth Brown, Dan Adams Ad-ams and Rolland Haycock, who received re-ceived their awards at the Scout Banquet Thursday evening. " One outstanding feature of the meeting was the presentation of the Duty to God award to Dan Adams. This presentation was made by Bishop Harvey Smith, who complimented Dan cn being the first boy in Manila Ward to receive the Duty to God award. |
