Show Local University Women Attend Workshop Program President Emily Pederson and Leone Carson, Jennie Gleason, Margaret Hayes, iilna Fugal, Carol Car-ol Jaynes, attended the annual workshop of the American Association Assoc-iation of University Women at the Alpine Rose Lodge at Brighton the past week. Theme of the workshop was "Leadership Unlimited." President Bea Carroll of Kays-ville Kays-ville welcomed guests and gave the keynote speech stressing- the theme of leadership. A highlight of her talk was the "U.N. was established as a tool for world freedom, but the world is not ready or educated enough to accept its ideals at the present time. All thinking people would prefer a conference table to swords. Education is our only hope." On Wednesday evening, Sept. 1, officers of the local branch of the AAUW met at the home of Bethel Allied. President Emily Pederson gave a president's ireport of the convention. Margaret Hayes reported re-ported on membership and Carol Jaynes gave a report on publicity. Others in attendance were Jennie Jen-nie Gleason, Janet Pulsipher, Winona Win-ona Kirk, Mary Esklund. The local branch is currently conducting a membership drive, and is anxious to contact any woman wo-man qualified for membership. Any one interested please contact Pres.
