Show Schools of District To Open Sept 7th Pleasant Grove High School, Junior Hiqh to Have Separate Principals The 1954-55 academic year of the Pleasant Grove Senior-Junior High School will begin Tuesday September 7, according to A. J. i . Rogers and Lyean Johnson, Principals. Prin-cipals. Senior High students will begin registration at 9:00 a.m. with a general assembly in the auditorium. Signup for grades 7, 8, and 9 will take place beginning at 1:00 p.m. with a similar pre-registration pre-registration meeting. "Registration for grades 10, 11, and 12 will be on a "first come, first served basis", said Principal Rogers, Wednesday, because of the large enrollment anticipated. Busses for Senior High School students will make their regular morning runs; and return students to their homes at noon, Mr. Rogers Rog-ers explained. He also stated that for this year the Senior High lunch hour would be from 1:00 to 1:30 p.m. Mr. Johnson stated that Junior High School students would take their lunch period the same as last year, 12:0 Oto 12:30 p.m. Busses' for Junior High School students will begin to pick up their loads in time for the 1:00 registration. On form letters mailed out to students Wednesday all classes of instruction scheduled for this year in the various grades were enumerated. enum-erated. Registration fees as listed in the letters are as follows: Seventh Sev-enth and Eighth grades, $4.00; Ninth grade, $7.00; and for Tenth, Eleventh and Twelfth grades $9.00. The Principals advised that all students should come prepared to pay these fees' at registration time. Teachers new to Pleasant Grove High School, and their teaching assignments include: Ned Alger, Football Coach and Fhysical Education; Edu-cation; Cecil Cook, Biology and Counseling; Vema Hudson, Sewing; Sew-ing; Helen Weeks, Cooking and Jesse R. Walker, English, Leslie Liechty, part time Core program. |
