Show Judge, City Police Report on Month's City Court Cases Thirty-thrw rases were handled by the Pleasant Grove City Court according- to the February report of Judge C. O. Newman. Of these 26 were for traffic violations. Listed List-ed in order of frequency the cases were as follows: Speeding, 20; Civil Actions, 4; Running through st?p, 2; No operators oper-ators licence, 1; No Utah license plates, 1; Failure to keep control, 1; Public intoxication, 1 and dismissals, dis-missals, 2. Fines collected for February Feb-ruary totaled $300, Judge Newman New-man said. In addition to the formal actions ac-tions of the City Court, police officers of-ficers issued 35 traffic warnings, according to Police Chief Glen Newman. Also, the Police Department Depart-ment referred 7 juveniles to the Juvenile Court and investigated 8 traffic accidents involving property proper-ty damage estimated at $3,000. Other "off the cuff" activities of the City Policemen during- Feb- ruary include: Checked on a truck reportedly stolen from an intoxicated driver. Trip to American Fork Canyon to investigate an accident. Restored order in a home where a shooting was threatened. Investigated the shooting of a steer at a local farm. Secured a doctor for a childbirth at a local motel. Stepped two boys from fighting over a girl. Picked up a California man suspected sus-pected of armed robbery. Investigated Investi-gated a "Peeping Tom" report. Reported Re-ported to high school janitor that lights were on in the gym. Pulled a car out of the mud on Highway 91. |
