Show Mia Maids Hold Program with Mothers lues. One of the very fine functions of the MIA was the "So Dear to My Heart" Program held by the Timpanogos Stake Mia Maids on Tuesday evening. At the stake house, at 8 p.m. about 200 Mia Maids and their mothers with YWMIA officers and leaders were present. Preliminary music was played by Karla Haynie and the address of welcome given by Elaine Walker. Walk-er. Sue Black of the Grove ward was chosen to represent Mia Maid at all Timp Stake Rose Ties. This activity was supervised by George Paul, high council advisor to MIA One girl from each ward was entered en-tered in the drawing and Miss Black was the winner. Janice Gill-man Gill-man of Lindon was drawn as alternate. al-ternate. Other program numbers were Singing by the congregation and invocation by Nancy Adams. The theme was given by Suzanne Wilc-ken Wilc-ken and a flute trio, Joann Rad-mall, Rad-mall, LeAnn .Smith and Sheila Anderson, An-derson, played a number. The tribute to mother was given giv-en by Regula Ringger and the tribute tri-bute to the Mia Maid was given by Mrs. Elsie Ring'ger. Guest speaker of the evening was Helen Jones of Lehi. Benediction was pronounced by Sue Black. Refreshments were served in the recreation hall, where each Mia Maid served her mother. The gorgeous bouquet of roses that centered the serving table was presented to Helen Jones in appreciation of the wonderful inspirational in-spirational message which she left with the girls and their mothers. Other special guests were the YWMIA Stake presidency, Wanda Blackhurst, Myrl Armitstead and Mary Varney. |
