Show Spring Arrives in Pleasant Grove, Weather Still Cold Spring arrived officially in the Pleasant Grove area .last Friday. It was the day when the sun crossed the imaginary line on its annual swing to the north. Had there been no mountains, the hours of daylight and darkness would have been equal on March 21. Other sure harbingers of the advent ad-vent of the Vernal season were evident during the week. A pair of bluebirds were seen investigating a mail box as a possible parental home and a lone robin was observed observ-ed hopping across the grass, listening listen-ing intently for sounds of the awakening night crawlers. Local merchants are setting out displays of "back-ache" tools, shovels, shov-els, rakes, hoes, and garden rakes, when they can do so without getting get-ting wet from the perpetual rain. Lawns are greening up and the "putt-putt" of the power mowers may be expected momentarily. Old time gardeners assert that now is the opportune time to plant trees and shrubs, before they pass the stage of doimancy. The soil is wet, which also insures a successful suc-cessful transplant. Predictions for the weekend call for more clouds, more rain and additional ad-ditional snow in the higher elevations. ele-vations. Statistics for the week ending March 24, 1958: Date High Low Pre.
