Show Doug Beck, Bride Spend Weekend Here With Parents Douglas J. Beck of the Navy Air Force and his bride, the former for-mer Joan Link of Ridgecrest, Calif. -arrived here Saturday morning and spent two days with Mr. Beck's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wesley J. Berk. The bride is the daughter of Mi . and Mrs. Charles Link of Ridgecrest. On Saturday evening Mr. and Mis. Wesley Beck held openhouse in honor of the newlyweds from 7 Ul 10 p.m. Assisting the parents in receiving receiv-ing and entertaining the more than 100 guests who called were Mr. and Mrs. Reed Beck and Mr. and Mrs. Merrill Beck and Miss Ardena Beck, who handled the guest book. The room where the newlyweds greeted and received felicitations from friends was colorful with summer flowers and lightel pink and white dandles. Miss Betty Page furnished piano selections and Kenneth Beck accordion num-bei num-bei s. Mr. and Mrs. Max Jorgenson arranged ar-ranged gifts which were received at the door by Elaine Jorgenson and Myrna Beck. Miss Mary At-wood At-wood and Miss Dorace Crystal served. ser-ved. The young couple exchanged nuptial vows on September 10 at Ridgecrest. After spending two days here they left Monday morning morn-ing for California where Airman Beck is stationed at China Lake Air Base. |
