Show All Persons Should Help Keep City Clean Mayor W. Robert Marrott Thursday Thur-sday again warned citizens of Pleasant Grove that they must keep irrigation ditches free from debris, trash and dead animls, not only to have clean channels, but also to lessen the health hazard of the heavy run-off expected. The mayor said that health authorities this year anticipate stagnant pools to remain upon the saturated ground after the spring floods come, and urged all persons per-sons who have not been immunized immuni-zed to take advantage of the clinic clin-ic which will start on April 23. Because of the heavy precipitation and runoff our water system may become contaminated. "AH of the people of the city should be vitally vit-ally interested in trying to keep the city clean and free from health hazards. We will prosecute those found willfully flouting the city health and sanitary ordinances," ordinan-ces," Mayor Marrott said. The mayor said that one culinary culi-nary water spring had been lost due to slides in the mountains. However, as soon as it becomes dry and the earth stops sliding, the spring, which is not lost permanently, per-manently, will be restored. |
