Mrs. Mary Beveridge is spend-: ing this week in Salt Lake City, : with her sister who is ill. , i Mr. and Mrs. Wm. J. Peterson, ' Mrs. Marie Jeppson, and Mrs. Alice Thornton on Sunday wove guests of Mrs. Mary Anne Anderson Ander-son of Salt Lake City, the occasion occas-ion being her birthday anniver- j sary. j Mr. and Mrs. John S. Green re-1 turned last week end from Pheo-nix, Pheo-nix, Arizona, where they spent 3 weeks with Mr. and Mrs. Orin A. Williams and family, and assisted assist-ed in the care of their daughter Mrs. Barbara G. Williams, who is now recuperating from a major operation, to which she submitted four weeks ago, and is now convalescing con-valescing at her home. Leslie Cromar spent a few clays during the past week in San,1 Diego, California, with his daugh- ter and son in law, Mr. and Mrs. 1 John Sterling, also Mrs. Cromar, ; who has been with the Sterlings i two weeks while Mrs. Sterling 1 has been receiving hospital care. ' Mr. Cromar returned early this ' week while Mrs. Cromar will re-' main for a longer stay. i Mr. and Mrs. James Simper and j two children of Logan, were week- i end guests of their parents and i grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Thos. Simper. On Sunday Mr. and Mrs. Simper had their family as dinner guests, with covers laid for Mr. & Mrs. James Simper and children, Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Shields, Mr. ' and Mrs. Kenneth Harvey and Miss Jeniel Simper and the host and hostess. Mr. and Mrs. L. S. Walker en-1 tertained their family at a steak dinnner Saturday evening. Covers were laid for, Messrs and Mesdam-es: Mesdam-es: Ray Walker, Henson Walker. I Reed H. Walker, Ed. Oscarson, Joseph Hanson, Joseph Hilton, Douglas Neilson, Nyle Harris, Piatt Tucker of Salt Lake City; Moyle Blackham of Moroni; and Burdene, Boyd, Royce, and Judy . and the host and hostess. ' Miss Bonie Pierson and Miss j ReNae Christensen were cohost-esses cohost-esses at a miscellaneous shower i honoring Mrs. Marvin Holdaway. i nee Miss Audine Clark, of Lin- j don, a recent bride. The very nice-; ly arranged affair was held on Thursday evening, at the home of j Miss Pierson, where close friends of the bride enjoyed games and ' timely chatter and delicious re- j freshments. The new Mrs. Holda- ay was showered with kindly ! wishes and many nice gifts, for J her new home.
