Show Funeral Services Held Monday For Sfena Christensen Very impressive funeral services were conducted Monday afternoon in the Third Ward LDS Chapel for Stena Clayton Christensen, who died Nov. 19, at the home of her son Ernest Clayton in Salt Lake City. . The service began at 1 p.m. with Bishop Calvin Walker presiding-. Invocation was offered by Vau- ghn Clayton, and was followed by a violin solo, "One Fleeting Hour" played by Alfred A. Swenson of Provo, accompanied by Mrs. Genevieve Gene-vieve F. Wright. A biographical sketch of Mrs. Clayton was written and read by Mrs. Neil Y. Fugal. Speakers who paid tribute to Mrs. Clayton's memory and offered offer-ed words of sympathy and encouragement encour-agement were President Vilace Radmall, and M. S. Christianson. Each told of the sweet unselfish life of the departed, her untiring work and devotion in rearing nelson, nel-son, while always holding responsible respon-sible positions in churcn circles in her ward and stake. The speakers were interspersed by musical numbers, a vocal duet, "I Walked Today Where Jesus Walked," by Elwood and Connie Clayton, grand children, accompanied accom-panied by Mrs. Loile Bailey, and a vocal solo "A Perfect Day," by Mrs. Vance West, accompanied by her daughter Anne W. McCaus-land. McCaus-land. Bishop Calvin Walker in his. kindly manner spoke the closing words of sympathy and apreciat-ion, apreciat-ion, and Loile Bailey, accompanied accompan-ied by Mrs. Bailey sang "In My Father's House Are Many Mansions." Man-sions." Benediction was pronounced by Bryan Fugal. Mrs. Anne McCaus-land McCaus-land played prelude and postlude organ music. Prior to the service prayer in the home was offered by John Fugal. Burial directed by Olpin Mortuary Mor-tuary was made in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery, where Neil Y. Fugal gave the dedicat- oiial prayer. Pallbearers, all close relatives were Donald and Elwood Clayton, DeMarr Morgan, Grant Fugal, Jean Fugal, Bruce Fugal. The Third ward Relief Society cared for and arranged the lovely floral offerings. |
