Snapshot Contest Sponsored By Greater Utah VaSby, Inc., To Last For Seventeen Weeks Greater Utah Vdley, Inc., will conduct a snapshot contest starting- the week of December 6th and running for 17 weeks, according ac-cording to J. Clark Elmer, chairman chair-man of the Public Relations and Advertising committee. The contest con-test is not only to get material that might be used for publicity purposes, but also to acquaint the citizens of the county with points of interest in the valley. The contest is strictly for ama teur photographers, and is not open op-en to professional photographers or any member of their families. To enter the contest mail any photograph which is larger than 3 by 414 but more than ten inches in the longer dimension to Greater Utah Valley, Inc., Post Office Of-fice Box 423, Provo, Utah. Mr. Elmer said there will be two classes of pictures, Class A of scenic and recreational pictures, and Class B of pictures of agriculture agri-culture and industry. All snap shots must be taken in or near Utah valley. The best picture in each class for each week will be published in the Provo Daily Herald. In addition ad-dition at the end of the contest a cash prize of $50 to first, $25 to second and $15 to third place will be given. Fourth prize is $10, fifth $5 and 6th through 34th prizes are $1 each. For a complete list of contest rules, see page two of this paper. |
