Show Former Milford Editor ThriHcJ with PI. Grove Scenery Karl S. Carlton, of Los Angeles, veteran newspaper man and former form-er editor of the Milford, Utah News, and Beaver, Utah Press, was in Pleasant Grove Wednesday visiting with Mr .and Mrs. Arthur Meredith, and with Editor and Mrs. A. B .Gibson. He was accompanied accom-panied by Mrs. Walter Carlton of Provo. Mr. Carlton has traveled extensively, extens-ively, his tours having covered practically every state in the union un-ion and is a real lover of the great out.of-doors. Although 84 years of age he still loves to go fishing, and while in Utah this trip he has been fishing at Deer Creek, and made a good catch. The former editor was really thrilled Wednesday when we showed him the valley from several sev-eral angles. He said: "I have traveled trav-eled all over America ,and I have never seen a more beautiful sight, Mount Timpanogos on the East, and then turning around you see the wonderful orchards and agriculture, agri-culture, and beyond that Utah Lake; and then the great Geneva Steel here you have scenery, agriculture, ag-riculture, and industry." |
