Show Combined Civilian Defense And Freedom Scroll Rally Is Schduled For Tuesday Evening A combined Civilian Defense and Freedom Scroll rally will be held Tuesday evening, Sept. 19 at 7:30 p. m. at the Pleasant Grove High School auditorium. The American Am-erican Legion, Post No. 70, has planned the rally for the Civilian Defense leaders to outline their program. Master Sergeant Harry McArd-le McArd-le of the Provo Recruiting office has selected two appropiate films, recognized as patriotic and preparedness pre-paredness pictures. On the evening even-ing program will be George Strat-ton, Strat-ton, Coordinator of County Defense, De-fense, who will outline his program; pro-gram; Dr. J. Russell Smith, Coordinator Co-ordinator of Provo, will talk on the Medical Preparedness. County Sheriff Theron Hall will speak. Burton H. Adams, Utah County Commissioner, will stress the duty of citizens in relation to Civil Defense. De-fense. Coordinator Harold Walker of Pleasant Grove will have a message mes-sage to the citizens of this city on their part in the defense program. pro-gram. W. Robert Marrott, Mayor of Pleasant Grove will sum up the evening's program. All citizens of Pleasant Grove, Lindon and Manila are cordially invited to attend. The American Legion will have Freedom Scrolls in the hall for all who wish to sign. There will be a matinee Tuesday Tues-day afternoon for high school students. |
