For the puipose of racing revenue to pay the costs j and expenses of special sidewalk paving improvements made during the years 1016, 1917, 10-18 in Sidewalk Side-walk Paving District No. 1 in Pleasant Grove, Utah, the City Coueil does hereby levy a special improvement tax, and does hereby provide for the assessment thereof against the real property in said district hereinafter described. Section 2. This special tax is levied upon all real property bounding or abutting on the sidewalks side-walks which have been paved during dur-ing said years and which are hereinafter here-inafter described, which property is to be especially affected and benefited ben-efited by said improvements and it is hereby adjudged and determined deter-mined that all such property has been benefited by said improve- ments to the full amount of the taxes hereby levied, and said lots and tracts of land are hereby assessed as-sessed in accordance with the linear lin-ear foot frontage abutting on said sidewalks to the full depth of said lots and tracts of land. Section 3. The total cost of the above mentioned special improvements improve-ments which have now been completed, com-pleted, is the sum of $12,435.04, and the City Treasurer is hereby authorized and directed to assess said abutting' real property in accordance ac-cordance with the provisions of this ordinance and for the purpose above mentioned. Section 4. The special tax hereby here-by levied and assessed upon a-butting a-butting lots and tracts of land is $1,273 per front or linear foot on all property in front of which said sidwalks have been paved, provided prov-ided however, that corner lots or corner tracts of land shall be allowed al-lowed a reduction of 10 feet frontage front-age wherever the sidewalks running runn-ing along both sides of said corner cor-ner lots or corner tracts of land have each been paved and improved improv-ed as part of said Sidewalk Paving District No. 1, along the full frontage front-age of both sides of said corner lots or corner tracts of land. Section 5. Said special tax assessments as-sessments shall be due and payable at the office of the City Treasurer Treas-urer in Pleasant Grove, Utah in four equal annual installments as follows: One-fourth thereof on the 1st day of December, 1948; one-fourth one-fourth thereof on the 1st day of December, 1949; one-fourth thereof there-of on the 1st day of December, 1950; one fourth thereof on the 1st day of December, 1951. Interest at the rate of 6 per cent per annum shall be charged and collected on all unpaid portions of said assess-j assess-j ments from December 1, 1948 un- til the same are paid. Any such assessments as-sessments which are not paid when the same become due hereunder will be delinquent and the lots and tracts of land upon which said assessments as-sessments are levied will be subject sub-ject to special tax sale as provided by law. Section 6. The real property on which this special tax is levied is described as follows: All property, lots and tracts of land abutting on the sidewalks which have been paved and which said sidewalks are as follows, to wit: The South side of First South Street between be-tween First East and Fourth East; the North side of Third South Street between Main Street and Third East Street; the South side of Second South street between Third East and Fourth East streets; the East side of Third East street between Second and Fifth South streets; the North side of Fifth South street between First and Third East streets; the East side of First West street between be-tween First and Third North streets; the West side of First East street between First South and Third North streets; the North Side of Center Street between be-tween First and Second West streets; the South side of Center street between Main and Second West Streets; the North side of Second North street between Fourth and Fifth East streets; the East side of First East street between be-tween Second and Fourth North street; the West side of Main street between Center and Second North streets. The real property on which this special tax is assessed is also further fur-ther described as follows, to-wit; All abutting lots and tracts of land along the North side of Blocks 20, 21 and 22; the South side of Blocks 16 and 17; the North side of Block 15: the West side of Blocks 15 and 7: the South side of Block 6; then West side of Blocks 49 and 51; thence East side of Blocks 34, 36, 49 and 51; all property prop-erty abutting on west side of street running North and South through Blocks 36 and 49; the South side of Block 50; the North side of Blocks 4 and 35; thence South side of Block 55; the West side of Block 52; all according to |
