Show Cadmus Club Sponsors Dr. Winslow Smith "I Lived In a Planned City" was the subpect Dr. Winslow Whitney Smith talked on last Monday evening even-ing at the Second ward church to members and guests of the Cadmus Cad-mus club. Dr. Smith is from the faculty at the USAC and at one time actually lived in the "Planned City" which he showed colored moving pictures and slides of. Dr. Smith stressed the fact that our mental health and nerves ! would be better off by having better bet-ter homes and improved conditions surrounding the and that we can have more and nicer homes, quiter and cleaner surroundings, safer children, and a richer community com-munity by planning. Opening prayer was offered by Don Mack Dalton, after which Nadine Johnson sang "Heart That's Free" accompanied by Mary Paulson. After Dr. Smith spoke, Jerry Thomas of Provo played two numbers on his electric guitar, "Song of the Islands" and "Farewell "Fare-well to Thee". Harvey Smith offered offer-ed the closing prayer. The evening was a ' delightful one and was enjoyed by all who attended. The next meeting of Cadmus Club will be at the home of Lurena Warnick, October 25. |
