Show IIIJIB All State Chorus A group of P.G.H.S. students attended the all state chorus and orchestra recently. These two organizations or-ganizations appeared in the Tabernacle Taber-nacle in Salt Lake City and performed per-formed for the evening session of the Teacher's convention, on Friday Fri-day evening, October 8. Those who attended were Nadine Hales, Nadine Neilson, Beverly Wright, Mary Lou Morgan, Patsy Anderson, Geraldine Thorne, Barbara Bar-bara Jensen, Marion Goff and Lynn Young. Triple Trio The girls triple trio sang for the missionary testimonial of Nyle Harris, Sunday evening, October 10. Those participating were Nadine Johnson, Barbara Yoss, ' Vivian Naylor, Nadine Hales, Marilyn Walker, Mary Morgan, Pearl Beck, Lorraine Roberts and Beverly Wright. Year Book The theme for the Pleasant Grove year book has not been decided. de-cided. The staff sent out pledges to those who wanted a book. So far there have been 179 pledges brought back. There will not be a year book unless there are 250 books sold. The book is going to be very different and it will be worth your while to buy one. The Art City Publishing Company Com-pany is going to print the Valkyre, (providing we have one.) They have published it for a number of years and they have done a very worthwhile job. Pep Club Assembly On Thursday, October li, the members of the Pep (';. ' presented present-ed an assembly. The theme was based on a talent scout show. The girls were divided into six different differ-ent groups and each group did some individual act. After all had performed, the audience chose the best group, by applause, and this group was awarded a prize for their efforts. Census and Deer Hunting On Friday of this week and Monday of next, the teachers of Pleasant Grove high school will make a complete census of Timpanogos Timp-anogos stake and Windsor ward for this year. It has been declared a holiday for the students of P.G. and all other schools in the district. dist-rict. The 16th of October is also the opening of deer season, and this will be convenient for the fellows who expect to go hunting this year. The teachers are sup-' posed to have the census completed by the 31 of October. Year Book School Mondy, October 11, three representatives rep-resentatives from the journalism class attended what is known as the Year Book School at Spring-ville. Spring-ville. These representatives were: Ardena Beck, Marcia Wadley and Betty Page. This school, sponsored by the Art City Publishing Company, was attended by approximately 200 students and advisors from various cities in Utah, Idaho, and Wyoming. Wyom-ing. Many ideaas were given on financing, fin-ancing, ' advertising, etc., by Mr. Harrison Conover, which proved very helpful to these girls. After the lectures they journeyed journey-ed to the Chicken Roost where a chicken dinner was served. It was a very worthwhile experience ex-perience and all three had a very good time. Senior Hop Dale Has Been Changed The Senior Hop date has been changed from November 12 to November 19.
