Show Soil Conservation Group Vill Hold Annual Meeting The second annual meeting of the farmers of the Alpine Soil Conservation Con-servation District will be held on Monday, February 9, 1948 at 7:30 p.m. in the Lehi High School auditorium, aud-itorium, according to S. R. Bos-well, Bos-well, county agent. The program wil include short talks by Ray Walker, State Conservationist Con-servationist of the U. S. Soil Conservation Con-servation Service and A. G. Kil-burn, Kil-burn, Extension Conservationist. J. Dale Schott, District Conservationist, Conservat-ionist, Soil Conservation Service, will discuss the methods used in writing farm plans. J. Earl Smith of Lehi Chairman of the Alpine Soil Conservation District board of supervisors will report on the activities of the district during the past year including a financial finan-cial report. A short film "Know Your Land" will be shown and then the meeting wiTi be opened for general discussion. The area within the district includes in-cludes all of .the land in the county north of Orcm and Fairfield. Since the district is a governmental subdivision sub-division of the state, governed by the farmers in the district, all farmers far-mers should attend this meeting to express their opinions on he op-ertation op-ertation of the district. |
