Show Funeral Services Held For John B. Harvey Relatives and friends gathered Thursday to pay last tribute of respect res-pect to John B. Harvey and express ex-press sympathy for his family. The impressive service began at 2 o'clock in the Third ward LDS chapel with George Paul of the bishopric conducting. The opening number, 'Tn the Garden" was sung by Mrs. Stella Hardman and Mrs. Verdell Lim, accompanied by Mrs. Donna Randall. Invocation was offered by Bryan Fugal. Speakers were Bishop Neil Y. Fugal, Joseph S. Walker and Neils Fugal. Each expressed sympathy for the family of the departed and paid tribute to the quiet unobtrusive unobtrus-ive character of Mr. Harvey, as well as to his kindliness and friendliness friend-liness and gave fine council regarding re-garding the laws of God. Musical numbers interspersing the speakers were a vocal duet, "Teach My Soul To Pray," by Avis West and Mrs. Itha Alstrum, accompanied ac-companied by Anne West; a duet, "Beautiful Isle" by Mrs. Hardman and Mrs. Lim, and the closing number, num-ber, "Going Home" sung by Mrs. Avis West, accompanied by her daughter, Anne. Prelude and postlude organ music mus-ic was played by Mrs. Randall. After closing remarks by Mr. Paul, Albert Anderson pronounced the benediction. Internment was made in' the Pleasant Grove City cemetery, where Lewis Olpin of the Timpanogos stake presidency offered the dedicatory prayer. Pallbearers were Harvey Hol-man, Hol-man, C. A. Fugal, Parley Christiansen, Chris-tiansen, Ira Devereaux, Kenneth Harris and Kenneth Neilson. Mr. Harvey died at his home Monday, September 29, after a lingering lin-gering illness. Among out of town relatives and friends who attended the services were Mrs. John Brown and Mrs. Jennie Martindale of Lehi; Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Holman of Salt Lake City; Mr. and Mrs. Robert Harding and Mrs. Hod Eskelson of Murray, and Mr. and Mrs. Mel Naylor of Midvale.
