Show Mr. and Mrs. Dean Gordon of Long Beach and Mrs. Glen Durrant I (nee Kathleen West) arrived here ' Saturday to visit with their mother, ' Mrs. Lois H. West, and other rela- j tives here and in American Fork. Carlson returned home Tuesday from Salt Lake City, where she has been with her daughter, daugh-ter, Mrs. Helen Ongley who on Monday, underwent a major operation opera-tion at St. Mark's hospital. Their young son will visit here with the Merrill family until the return of his parents. par-ents. Mr. and Mrs. H. W. Jacobs attended at-tended the funeral services for Carl Gunther at Lehi Monday afternoon. Mr. Gunther died Friday afternoon at the Utah Valley hospital from injuries received earlier in the day in an accident at the Pleasant Grove Canning company plant at Provo. Miss Betty Carlson and Miss Ellen Richins who are employed at the aii-port in Salt Lake City, spent Sunday with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Richins and Mrs. Ethel W. Carlson. The officers and teachers of the third ward Sunday school met Wednesday Wed-nesday evening at the home of Miss Marjorie Holdaway. Business pertaining per-taining to Sunday school work was attended to, after which a social hour was spent. Mr. Robertson at the Arrowhead Service has a large supply of Berry Cups and Cases. Government regulated reg-ulated prices. 6-12 Mrs. Elden Johnson entertained at a children's party on Thursday in honor of her son Royal's seventh birthday anniversary. Children's games and stories were enjoyed by 16 young guests: Lynnel and Renee Johnson, Donna Ott, Rosalie Richards, Rich-ards, Sherlene Clark, Colleen Mar-rott, Mar-rott, Dick and Norman Barton, Larry and Glade Hurst, Marvin Peay, Jan Nelson, David Richards, Charles Larson, Lynne Poulson, Joe Johnson and the honor guest, Royal Johnson. Mrs. Connell Larson entertained a group of friends at her home Friday evening. The time was spent in playing Bunco, with first prize going1 to Mrs. George McMillen and the consolation prize to Mrs. Robert Rob-ert Marrott. A tasty lunch was enjoyed en-joyed by 10 guests including Mrs. George McMillen, Mrs. Golden Peay, Mrs. Robert Marrott, Mrs. Wendell Keetch, Mrs. Lawrence Farr, Mrs. Jessie Mort, Mrs. Dan W. Peterson, Mrs. Elden Westover, Mrs. Ruby Pritchitt, Mrs. Orson Lee, Mrs. George Barton and the hostess. Mrs. Grant Y. Anderson, Mrs. Alfred Al-fred Dexter and Mrs. C. L. Wright attended a party in Piovo Thursday Thurs-day evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs. mory King in honor of their daughter, Miss Rhoda King who will be married in the near future to Lieutenant Lawrence Richard Peterson, son of Mrs. Nancy Peterson of Provo. Miss King Is a 1942 graduate of the BYU and has been popular In social circles. Lieutenant Peterson recently graduated grad-uated from the school of advanced flying at Stockton, Cal. M.;.
