Show ''BAUBLES FOR THE BUDDIES TO BARTER" To all county directors, city chairmen, club presidents, interested interes-ted groups, and individuals: "It started" said Lt. General M. F. Harman, somewhere in the Pacific, "When a shipment of games gam-es was received in the South Pacific Pacif-ic and the- package was found to contain, by accident, some strings of beads and dimestore clips, alor.g with the decks of cards and other recreational equipment. "The boys, much amused, dangled the clips and earings before some of the natives. The results was electrifying. For the coverted baubles baub-les the r.atives were willing to do almost any difficult or dangerous tasks. "Fifty-two foxholes were dug for a broach and a pair of earrings. Othei officers stated that natives would bring in wounded from the battlefields and carry munitions and supplies through the jungles for the bright trinkets they prize above all else." This will advise you that we are "CALLING ALL" groups and individuals indi-viduals to enlist in the collection of baubbles, (beads, pins, bracelets, earrings, clips, belt buckles, broaches, broach-es, oranmental buttons, and gewgaws gew-gaws of every kind.)
