Canning exhibit of six bottles of meat, vegetables and fruit, canned can-ned by the girls in their 4H summer sum-mer work. 1st year group led by Miss Marilyn Mari-lyn Warnick exhibited Recipe files by JoAnn Roundy, Lorraine Jep-pKvn Jep-pKvn Gelene Ackerman and Carol Richardson; Raisin Muffins, Louise Adams; whole wheat muffins, Jo-Ann Jo-Ann Roundy; Plain muffins Gelene Adamson And Record books Carol Richardson afkd JoAnn Roundy. Irene Warnick received a fifty dollar war bond And a gold medal for her individual demonstration putting more milk in the Victory Lunch Box:. Irene was also a blue ribbon winnner in the 4H Home Economies judging contest and received re-ceived a gold medal in this field. Marilyn and Irene Warnick were guests during- their stay in Salt Lake City at the Newhouse Hotel as representatives of the Utah County 4-H Clubs; Marilyn acting as Chaperon for the group of six representatives from Utah Co. In the boys division Robert Warnick War-nick of the 4H Dairy Club, was named the outstanding 4H Hols-tein Hols-tein Calf 'boy, at the livestock parade, and at the award assembly was presented with a pure bred Heifer calf. Roberts' 4H Club calf, received a blue ribbobn in the 4H Club division, div-ision, and 7th place in the open class. The awarding of a pure bred calf each year to the outstanding 4H club boy is a custom inaugurated some years ago by the Pure Bred Dairy Cattle Association, members thereof pledging themselves to in turn present the calves. The heifer awarded to young Warnick was presented by D. E. Greenwod of Sandy, Utah. This is the third calf to be won by Manila 4TI boys, the other winners win-ners being Lee Warnick and Eld-regge Eld-regge Warnick. |
