Show State Fishing Season Opens June 14th Utah's 1942 fishing season will open generally on Sunday, June 14, 1 to enable sportsmen who can't get off on week-days to get in some angling the first day, the fish and tion with Ogden river, Minersville reservoir, Colorado river and San Juan river. However, licenses are necessary. Giles Rules Earlier this year Attorney General Gen-eral Grover A. Giles ruled that war time would apply to the hours set in the fish and game statute for legal fishing. According to that ruling, fishermen would begin angling ang-ling an hour earlier, but would have to quit each day an hour earlier than last year, unless the starting and closing times are changed. Last year angling was lawful during the season from 4 a. m. to 9 p. m. each day. Anderson said watershed conditions condi-tions are excellent this year, and should help throughout the summer sum-mer and fall without any premature prema-ture drying up of streams.
