Show Viking Views In The News Editors Kay Jacobs Carmel Wadley THE MUSIC FESTIVAL The Pleasant Grove high school music department will present "A Festival Music Program" in the high school auditorium, Friday, April 24, at 8 p. m. SEMINARY GRADUATION Snior students of the Timpanogos stake seminary are preparing for their graduation exercise, May 3, according to Principal William C. Smith. He said this year's class, 67 students, is the largest class in the history of the Pleasant Grove Seminary. Semi-nary. Those who will receive diplomas diplo-mas are: Laura Adams, Zoe Adams, Keith Armistead, John Atwood, "WINGS OVER AMERICA" Walter Van Haitsma put on a very interesting and outstanding program titled "Wings Over America," Amer-ica," Thursday, April 16. He presented pre-sented interesting pictures of different dif-ferent planes and other pictures. GIRLS' TENNIS TEAM At the present time Carma Wad-ley, Wad-ley, Lucille Gray and Carol Chris-I Chris-I tensen have been entered for the Provo BYU invitational meet for senior high tennis. The Junior high girls are still battling hard to get to the top with Emeline Kirk and Joyce Beardall In the lead. NINTH GRADE ENJOYS SWTM On Saturday, April 1, the ninth grade enjoyed swimmnig party at Saratoga. The 43 members of the class who attended reported a good time. They were acocmpanied by Mrs. Johnson and Mr. Rogers. The Pleasant Grove high school enjoyed a very good boys' day assembly as-sembly Friday, April 17. Hie as-; sembly consisted of a picture show, "Steel in the Making,"- which was in technicolor. After the show there were some novelty acts with boys of the senior high participating. At the close of the assembly, every- ; one received a delicious lunch. j As a completion to the annual boys' day celebration, 75 couples celebrated to Howard Nelson's orchestra or-chestra at a dance. The committee members were: Wilford Howard, John Hilton, seniors; Lynn Atwood, Garth Gillman, juniors; Robert Hicks, Robert Bezzant, sophomores. |
