Show DEATH CALLS MRS. NEWMAN Mrs. Effie O. Newman, 41, wife of Claude Newman of this city, died at her home Sunday after a short Illness. She was born April 9, 1900, to Andrew and Annie Lundquist Olson, Ol-son, and has s)ent most or her life here, where she received her education. .. On January 14, 1919, she married Ollle Sykes and lived in American Fork until the death of her husband hus-band February 16, 1932. On June 28. 1934, she married Claude Newman of this city, and since that time has made her home here. Left to mourn her departure are her husband, one daughter, Mrs. Dorothy sykes Newman, Three sons, Delbert and Paul Sykes and Dee Newman; ' one- grandchild ; her father, Andrew Olson, five brothers, Joseph, Roy and Earl Olson of Pleasant Grove; .Ray" Olson and Leonard Olson, Magna; three sisters, Miss Ethel Olson of Pleasant Grove, Mrs. Pari O. Burton and Mrs. Vera Q. Jaeklln of American Fork. Funeral services were held Thursday Thurs-day at 2 p, m. In the Pleasant Grove third ward LDS chapel under un-der direction of Bishop Joseph S. Walker. Burial was in the American Fork city cemetery. |
