Show Unusual Program Coming To American Fork Songs and dances of ancient and modern Hawaii will be given by a group of 30 -of the most talented singers, dancers and musicians of the island of Oahu, Hawaii, in Firmage Hall the evening of July 21, it was announced an-nounced this week by members of the 67th quorum of seventy who are sponsoring the unique entertainment. Designed to be educational and artistic, as well as thrilling,, the presentation includes chants, kahili bearers, Lei presentations, ancient Hula dances, Pele Hula, Stone dance, and Guard Hula dances. There will also be mixed and male chorus groups, instrumental instru-mental 'selections, ensemble, solos, duets, comic songs and I I dances. Walter Napoleon and his wife Katherine, who heads the Oahu stake MIA are the leaders of the group, all of whom are members j of . the LDS church. This has been one of the most sought after j of the Centennial entertain-1 ments. Mr. and Mrs. Napoleon were j friends of the Stewart Durrants when they were in the Islands as missionaries ten years ago and many of the young people in the group will be remembered by them as children. |
