Show YOUNG COUPLE HONORED AT WEDDING RECEPTION One of the very nicely arranged wedding receptions of the early summer was that given on Friday evening June 27 by Mr. and Mrs. Wilford Neves, honoring their daughter Erma and Ivan J. Allen, who were married on June 26. In the beautifully decorated and well lighted hall of the First ward the bridal party received relatives and friends. In the lineup were the bride and groom, the brides parents par-ents and the grooms parents, Mr. and Mrs. John L. Allen, matron of honor, the brides sister, Donna N. Randall. Other attendants were the bride's sisters, LaVern N. Ma-kin Ma-kin and Elda N. Steiner; Miss Del-na Del-na Bradshaw and Mrs. Orvil Allen. Orvil Allen, brother of the groom served as best man. Also in the lineup was the brides grandmother Mrs. Elizabeth Calvin. Little Linda Lin-da Makin and Carolyn Steeiner, nieces of the bride were flower girls. For her wedding the new Mrs. Allen chose a beautiful gown of traditional white satin.- Her fingertip fing-ertip veil of net and lace fell from a tiara of seed pearls. She carried a bridal bouquet of roses and carnations. carn-ations. The attendants wore lovely pastel l'ormals on which they pinned pin-ned corsages of roses and carnations. carnat-ions. The pretty little flower girls were clad in formals of pink net over white satin and carried small pink baskets of roses. Aries Steiner was master of ceremonies cer-emonies and after the breaking up of the bridal line ably introduced the program numbers. A piano solo. so-lo. Miss Connie Steiner; vocal duet, Miss Ida May and Alene Rasmus-sen, Rasmus-sen, accompanied by Mrs. Barbara Jex; two vocal solos by Mr. Hughes of Bountiful; a toast to the bridal couple by Mrs. Ruby Fugal, a vocal solo, Mary Beth Bradshaw, two readings by Brent Allen, and a piano soloby Elda N. Steiner. Dancing Dan-cing and refreshments and viewing view-ing the lovely gift display completed com-pleted the evenings festivities. Tasty refreshments were served in the Relief Society Hall, with Mary Beth Bradshaw. Alene Ras-mussen, Ras-mussen, Jewell Warburton and La-Preal La-Preal Nelson serving. Caring for and arranking the gift display were Mrs. Eva Randall and Ida May Rasmussen, assisted by Floyd Randall. Receiving gifts at the door werev Connie and Berdene Steiner, nieces of the bride and two young nieces of the groom. The couple were married June L'6 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple with Elder Jones of the temple presidency officiating. Witnessing the ceremony were the parents of the bride, her sisters, Mrs. Donna Randall and Mrs. Elda Steiner, and Mrs. Stan Bradshaw. Following the reception the new-lyweds new-lyweds left for Clearfield where they will make their home. |
