Show War Relief Drive Gets Underway In Timp Stake Tom Walker, chairman of the Red Cross in Pleasant Grove district, recently re-cently organized a committee for the war relief drive which is being conducted in the district. Ray Merrill is acting as chairman. chair-man. He is being assisted by Ezra Swenson, Manila, George W. Larson, Lar-son, First ward, Frank Nelson, Second Sec-ond ward, Harold M. Wright, Third ward, and Ezra F. Walker in Lin-don. Lin-don. The purpose of the drive is to collect funds to be sent to relieve the sufferings of war refugees in j the invaded countries of Europe, j The money will provide food, shel- ter, and medical supplies, and will 1 be handled exclusively by our own American Red Cross representatives who are in the stricken countries. It is hoped that Pleasant Grove citizens will respond freely to this worthy cause. Mr. Merrill reports that as far as the soliciting has progressed, the results have been gratifying. |
