Show Relief Society Has Hobby Show A hobby show was one of the interesting in-teresting features of the closing social soc-ial of the Manila Relief society, which was held Tuesday afternoon in the ward chapel under the direction direc-tion of the president, Jeanette Warnick. War-nick. Members brought their most enter esting, economical, or most beautiful beauti-ful pieces of handwork. There were lovely crocheted bedspreads, doilies, quilts, rugs, and a unique foot-stool made of covered peach baskets. The program included several solos I by Marie Brown and by Maggie Rounay, two readings by Orpha Meecham, the teacher's topic given by Florence Carter, a guitar selection selec-tion by Minnie Hoddap, reports by class leaders, Mary Monson, Ellen Wadley, Orpha Meecham and Adena Swenson; a talk by stake Relief society so-ciety president, Cora Atwood, and a "Glance at the Manila Relief Society Twenty-Five Years from Now" by Emma Hall. Following the program, delicious refreshments were served. |
