But with one game left to play to determine first half honors in the Stake 'M" Men Schedule, the Manila and 2nd Wards alone remain in the running by virtue of wins chalked up last Wednesday Wednes-day evening. The league leading Manila five were matched point for point through three -full quarters quar-ters by the fighting 1st Ward outfit who are still without a win in four starts, but who have made every team play heads-up hall to outscore them. The score at the end of the third quarter was 17-14 for Manila at which time Keith Armitstead 1st ward guard who had been pulling the respectively to lead their team in scoring. Twelve players in all were used by the 2nd ward coach. Windsor took the measure of P. G. 3rd in the final game 25-15. 25-15. The 3rd ward team lost the services of Gene Fugal, who was injured in last week's game, which might have made some difference in this game, however, the Windsor team was "on" and the 3rd Ward's handicap would probably have made little difference. differ-ence. The second half will commence right after the finish of the first half. The 2nd Warders have been improving improv-ing steadily game after game, and it is expected they will make it hot for Manila and the other teams br fore the season is over.
