Show Stake Conference Sessions Well Attended All conference sessions on Sunday Sun-day were well attended and enjoyed en-joyed by the Sanints of Timpan-ogos Timpan-ogos Stake of Zion. The first meeting was at 8.30 A. M. in the Stake offices and with Elder Antone R. Ivins representing re-presenting the general authorities authorit-ies and included High Council, Ward Bishoprics, Priesthood pre-dents, pre-dents, and all stake and ward welfare workers. At the opening of the first general session, at 10 o'clock in the stake tabernacle, President W. W. Warnick was in charge. The opening number, "The Spirit of God Like a Fire Is Burning" was sung by the choir and congregation con-gregation directed by the Stake I Chorister Earl A. IS. Thonie; "Arize U tiloricms ion" was sung by the stake choir and accompanied, by the string ensemble. This was followed by the Stake I'residents ' message by W. W. Warnick and Ihe presentation and sustaining of officers which was conducted by Stake Clerk Millcn D. Rail-mail. Rail-mail. Three recently returned missionaries miss-ionaries Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Johnson nnd Richard Swensen all from the Canadian L. D. S.- mission mis-sion gave short talks. Vernon Kadmall and Cadet Paul Christof ferson, gave brief reports. Xext followed a number by the choir "We'll Sing The Songs of Zion." Merrill Warnick, newly appointed Rishop of Manila Man-ila ward was the next speaker. A vocal duct, "Jesus Lover of My Soul" was sung by Mrs. May U. Walker and Warren Kirk, assisted as-sisted by the choir. Klder Antone R. Ivins of the First Council of Seven! y was the concluding speaker. The stake choir sang the closing number "Arise My Soul, Arise," and K. L. Jarvis pronounced the benediction. bene-diction. The afternoon meeting was a priesthood session and was held in the First Ward Chapel. The final session was open to the public and was well attended, attend-ed, in spite of the stormy weather. weath-er. President Warnick presided. The choir sang "How Firm A Foundation" and E. F. Walker offered the invocation. Speakers were M. S. Christiansen, Warnick Swensen newly appointed President Presi-dent of the Timpanogos Stake Mission; Lieuteant Rex Walker of Eiraso, Texas, Harry Richards ' newly appointed Sunday School Superintendent; and Elder Antone An-tone Ivins, reprsenting the general gen-eral authorities. Muusic was under the direction of Stake Chorister Earl A. Beck and besides the opening- number included "Sweet Hour of Prayer" bv the choir accompanied by the String ensemble; "School Thy Feelinirs" hv a Male Chorus, directed dir-ected by Irwin Jensen: and accompanied acc-ompanied by A.
