Show Mrs. Hyrum Robertson and Mrs. Milton Adamson made a pleasure trip to Salt Lake, Friday. Ray Ewc-11, who is employed at Bingham, spent the week-end with his family in Pleasant Grove. The following members of the Manila ward attended the funeral of a former resident, the mother of George and Ivan Monson, Mrs. Hannah Han-nah S. Monson, held in the Tenth ward chapel in Salt Lake Sunday at 12:15: President and Mrs. W. W. Warnick, Mr. and Mrs. R. D. Wad-ley, Wad-ley, Mr. and Mrs. H. B. Warnick, Mr. and Mrs. Merrill Warnck, Mr. Walter Hall and Mr. Ferd Lud-wigson. Lud-wigson. Mrs. Wilford Anderson of Lindon, spent the week visiting at the homes of her daughters, Mrs. Elva and Mrs. Lily Wheeler at Springville. Mrs. Lucile Hillman was hostess at a "pot-luck" supper given by her J Local Items Mr. and Mrs. John Aagard of Fountain Green and Mrs. Ernest Bailey and children of Nephl were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Scholes, Monday and Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. Evan Walker of Mercur. former residents of Pleasant , Gleaner Girls class of the First ward, Tuesday evening. The program which followed the luncheon included talks on "Making "Mak-ing of Scrapbooks," given by Mrs. Geneve Dalton of the stake board, "The History of the Gleaner Organization," Or-ganization," by Miss Roxie West; "The Gleaner Sheaf," by Mrs. Lucile Lu-cile Hillman, and "The Story of Ruth" by Miss Beth White. Miss Drucilla Loader sang a vocal solo. Twenty-two girls were present. I Mrs. Delilah Fugal and Mrs. Lar-ena Lar-ena Johnson of the Third ward Relief society presidency, entertained enter-tained at a quilting party Friday afternoon. The quilt was made for the Relief society bazaar which will be held early in November. Supper was served to the following guests: Mrs. Matilda Christiansen, Mrs. Margaret Holdaway, Mrs. Lar-ena Lar-ena Nielson, Mrs. Margaret Bar- Grove, were dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Heber Gardner, Sunday. A Hallowe'en pot luck supper honored the birthday of Mrs. Vera Wagstaff, Monday evening. The party was given by her co-workers, the teachers of the Central school, who make it a custom to celebrate the birthday anniversary of each teacher sometime during the year. The home of Mrs. Wagstaff was appropriately ap-propriately decorated. Teachers and partners were in Hallowe'en costume. Mrs. Rose Young went to Salt Lake City on Monday, to be present at the marriage of a cousin, Miss Georgia Hendricksen, of Richmond. Mr. and Mrs. Dwight Bateman of Los Angeles have moved to Pleasant Grove. Mrs. Homer Royle, who has been in ac ine nome oi ner moiner, ivixs. George Peay, was taken to the L. D. S. hospital, Wednesday, where she will receive medical treatment. Mr. and Mrs. Gottlieb Buhler motored to Manti last week where they joined Mrs. Buhler's brother and his wife of Price, at the temple and did work for 240 of their kinsmen. kins-men. Mr. and Mrs. LeGrand Walker of Ogden were Sunday visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Walker. Walk-er. Honoring Gordon Wright who will leave soon for the Eastern States mission, Mrs. Emily Tyler entertained entertain-ed relatives at her home in Provo. Pleasant Grove guests were Mrs. Oral Wright and sons, Kenneth and Norman, and daughter Beverly, Mrs. Mary Wright, Harold M. Wright, Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Walker and Mrs. Josephine Bezzant. Mrs. Blanche Green of Spanish Fork spent the week end with her mother, Mrs. Elanor West. Mr. and Mrs. Warnick Swenson announce the birth of a girl, born Monday afternoon at the Lehi hospital. hos-pital. The brothers and sisters of Mrs. Ben Adams came to her home Thursday evening of last week and surprised her, the occasion being her birthday.
