Show Funeral Held Wednesday ForRay Winters Funeral services were conducted Wednesday afternoon, at 2 p m. in the Pleasant Grove Third Ward chapel for Donald Ray Winters. 19. who was instantly killed early Saturday morning in an automobile accident near the Point-of-the-Mountain. The impressivee services began at 2 orlock and was conducted by Daryl Huish of the Bishopric. Invocation was offered by Karl Banks. Speakers who spoke words of consolation and faith to the ber- eaved family were Eugene Harvey, j Arnold Richins. Bishop Neil Y. Fugal and H. W. Clark. All spoke highly of the character of the young man and his mother, j and of his father, who died some- j time go. and expressed hope and faith in the eternal life. Special musical numbers were a ! string trio. One Solemn Thoug.V played by Mrs. Warren Kirk. Airs. Calvin Jacob and Miss Carol Clark, and a vocal duet- by Misses Joy and Dorothy Phillips. Benediction was offered by L. P. Harvey. At the grave in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery Irvin Jensen. Chaplain of the American Legion Post No 70. offered the dedicatory prayer and presented the large A- I merican flag to Mr. Winter's moth- j er, Mrs. Ona Forreser. Pall bearers, members of the American Legion were: Irvin Jen-sn, Jen-sn, Dr. J, O, Meeks, Romel; Ash, Karl Banks, Loren Brady anil Don Fenton . , ?. born in. Pleasant.- Grove. March p' 1926, a-son Nathan and Ona Hendrickson "."Inters. He attended at-tended the public schools of Pleasant Pleas-ant Grove and lived here all of his life with the exception of a year and a half spent In military service. ser-vice. He was released from the army about- three months ago and has been working in Salt Lake City for an oil transporation company hauling gas and oil to Salt Lake from the Wyoming oil fields. He is survived by his mother, Mrs- Ona Winters Forrester, Orem, a step father, Pat Forrester, Orem; and the following brothers and sisters: Rita May, Augusta, Kenneth Ken-neth Winters, all of Orem and Dale Winters Burley, Idaho. |
