Show Old West Lives Again At Ogden Pioneer Festival The old west lives again at Ogden, Utah July 19 to 24 when the sixth annual Pioneer Days Celebration takes the public stage. Events have been scheduled to keep the celebration celebra-tion in progress at all hours of the day, and into late night. Mammoth street parades, four nights of topnotch rodeo shows, a Mardi Gras and carnival dance, tightrope walking and other stunts, a colorful acquacade, and a huge Pioneer Pageant are highlights. The street parades, to be held July 23 and 24, will bring together the greatest collection of wheeled relics of early frontier days, ornate floats, parade horses, novelty sections and bands ever assembled in northern Utah. The four nights of rodeo shows will present nearly every well-known professional cowboy in the business, in addition to an all-star cast of special act people, dogs and horses. The star attraction however, will come Sunday night, July 20, with the presentation in municipal stadium stad-ium of the Pioneer Pageant. |
