Show Six-Year-Olds Are Rounded Up For Examinations Children who will enter school for the first time this fall received their physical checkups, at the preschool pre-school clinics conducted this week under the sponsorship of the Parent-Teacher association and the state board of health. Examinations were given Monday Mon-day and Wednesday and are continuing con-tinuing today, at the city hall, with Dr. V. F. Houston, Dr. Guy S. Richards Rich-ards and Dr. Kenneth E. Noyes as the examining physicians. Mrs. Mabel Ma-bel Jones and Mrs. Loy Doss are the nurses in charge. Mi's. Jesse M. Walker, chairman of the P.-T. A. Summer Roundup committee, is supervising the project. In addition to receiving physical examinations, many of the children chil-dren will return by appointment for examinations and second inoculations inocula-tions next month. Under the direction of Mrs. Walker, Walk-er, the P.-T. A. plans to do the necessary follow-up work to encourage en-courage the correction of the children's chil-dren's physical defects, as revealed by the examinations. n |
