Show Boyd, the small son of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Strong, is reported im-1 proving after a severe illness of pneumonia. j Miss Doris Forbes returned home last week from Las Vegas, where the has been employed the past several months. Alpine News Mrs. Leonard Bates, Reporter Several school children have been injured the past week sleighriding from the hill behind the school building. Lorraine Whitby and La Rae McDaniel ran into the swing posts with sleighs and were rendered unconscious. They received some hard bumps but are able to return to school after several days rest. The Daughters of the Pioneers regular meeting which was to have been held Thursday afternoon has been postponed for one week on account ac-count of the ward entertainment which will be held Thursday afternoon after-noon and evening. Following their business meeting Tuesday the Relief Society members enjoyed a Christmas Social consisting consist-ing of a program and games. Lunch was also served- Forty-two ladies attended. Some inexpensive homemade home-made Christmas presents were exhibited ex-hibited by the work committee. Mrs. Walter Adamson of American Amer-ican Fork was called to Alpine Friday Fri-day on account of the illness of her mother and step-father, Mr. and Mrs. Isaac Healy- |
