Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Hilton motored to Logan Sunday to accompany ac-company their daughtsr, Phyllis, to school at the U. S. A- C. Mrs. Ethel West accmpanied them as far as Ogden where she visited the day with her sisters who reside there. Mrs. Margaret Holdaway held a quilting at her home Monday. The quitters were members of the Third ward Relief Society- J- P. Pugal, who recently underwent under-went a major operation, is home and gradually regaining his health. The Windsor ward will hold a banquet Saturday evening. Milford Gardiner and son, Donald, Don-ald, of Afton, Wyoming, made a business trip to Pleasant Grove last week Mr- Gardiner sought the advice .of his father-in-lay, Jens P. Fugal, in regard to plumbing fixtures for his new home. The Gleaner girls of the Second ward met at the home of Mrs. Le Roy Thorne Tuesday evening and made candy to send as Christmas presents to the Ward Missionaries, Ernest Smith and Guy Hillman, who are in the Texas mission. Mr- and Mrs. Lorin West announce an-nounce the engagement of their daughter, Roxie, and Z. Hunter of American Fork, and their daughter, Ruth and Reed Thompson, of American Amer-ican Fork. The marriages are to take place in the near future. A group of neighbors and old friends pleasantly surprised Ed Ball at his home last Friday evening. Mr. 'Ball has undergone several operations opera-tions on his eyes the past year and is almost blind. This party was given Mr. and Mrs. Roy Gardiner and daughter, Margie, of Magna, visited Sunday with Mrs. Mary Boulter and other relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Victor Austin of Idaho Falls, visited Sunday afternoon after-noon with Mr. and Mrs. Richard All-red. All-red. Mrs. Frevere Hardman entertained at a quilting Monday. The guests included Mrs. Ann Lews, Mrs. Jennie Jen-nie Allred and Mrs. Caroline Carter. LaVell Bcren has accepted a position posi-tion with the . General Merchandise store at Lark. I o The Junior class is busy these days preparing for their annual Junior' Promenade which will be held Fri-' day, December 21st, in the High' School gym. The Christmas tree and motifs of the Christmas Season with the red and green colors everywhere will feature the decorations of the gym. The programs are nifty artistic artis-tic favors hand made by artistic students of the Junior class. The patrons of the High School and citi-' zens are cordially invited to join the students in this annual promenade. prom-enade. The Pleasant Grove Second ward Primary officers and teachers entertained enter-tained last Friday evening in honor of Mrs. Laura Robertson, who is leaving for Spokane, Washington in the near future to make her home. Mrs. Robertson has been an officer in the organization for many years and the officers will miss her love and service. The evening was spent in games and reminiscences. These present were: Mrs. Robertson, Nellie Blackwell, Reva Mitchell, Mrs. Law-erence Law-erence West, Mrs. Hugh Wadley, Mrs. C. R. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Brown of Provo, and Mr. and Mrs. Jess Harding Hard-ing motored to Moroni Tuesday to visit with friends. Mrs. Annie Kirk returned home Thursday from Magna, where she has been visiting with her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Al-fred Kirk. Mrs. Martha Canham returned home Friday from Salt Lake City, where she has been visiting the past two weeks with her daughter, Mrs. i J. A. Morgan, and her sister, Mrs. Ruby Terry. Mrs. Peterson, County home demonstrator, dem-onstrator, will give a talk on Christmas Christ-mas suggestions at the Windsor ward chapel today. All ladies are especially invited to attend.
