Show Impressive Funeral Services Held For Mrs, Inger Hansen Mitchell .Largely attended were the funeral services held Sunday afternoon, Sep tember 1, at 4 p. m. in the Third ward chapel for Mrs. Inger Hansen Mitchell who died suddenly at her home early on the morning of August 29. Death was caused by heart failure which developed during an illness of last winter. The services were most impressive and solemn. A profusion of beautiful beauti-ful floral tributes completely banked the casket and rostrum, and were silent tributes of sympathy and re-spect re-spect from those in attendance to the bereaved family. Bishop John Hunter officiated. The opening musical selection was a vocal vo-cal duet "Resting Now From Care and Sorrow" beautifully sung by Mrs. LaDocia Wagstaff and Miss Muriel Hunter, after which Counselor Reed H. Robinson offered the invocation. invo-cation. Other musical numbers during the services consisted of a vocal solo going go-ing Home" by Mrs. Edith G. Young, a violin solo "One Fleeting Hour", and the concluding number "O Dry Those Tears" bv Mrs. Wagstaff and Miss i Hunter. The speakers were President C E. Young and Edward G. Abel- Bishop Hunter also made a few remarks. Each conveyed many words of con-solement con-solement to those in sorrow. Mrs. Mary E. Abel gave a biographical bio-graphical sketch of the life of the deceased. The benediction was pronounced by George F. Shelley. The body was then taken to the City cemetery, where interment was made, the dedicatory dedi-catory prayer being made by Frank G- Shelley. |
