Show o Popular American Fork Girl Wed3 Logan Young Man An interesting social event of the month was 'the marriage of Miss Helen Hel-en Myers, charming daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John W. Myers, and Golden S- Baxter of Logan, which took place in the Salt Lake temple Wednesday, September 4. The service was performed) per-formed) by Elder David O. McKay, and took place in the afternoon at 1:30 o'clock. In the evening ' a prettily arranged dinner was given in their honor at the home of the bride's parents. The guests included 'twenty-fi)ve of the immediate members of the young couple's families. The reception rooms were beautifully decorated in a wealth' of fall garden flowers, the table appointments carrying out the same color scheme. Pink butterfly sweet peas formed an attractive centerpiece cent-erpiece and pink cathedral candles on each end of the table added to the Betting. The bride was lovely in a model of white crepe-Rom&ine and wore a corsage cor-sage of pink rose buds and lilies of the valley. The young couple left shortly after the dinner for southern Utah to spend a short honeymoon at Bryces canyon and surrounding points of interest, after which they will make their home for the winter in Panguitch, where both will teach school, Mr. Baxter supervising mathmatics and public-sjpeaking in the high school and Mrs. Baxter teaching the fourth grade and supervising the art work in the grammar schools. |
