Show i Comedy To Be Presented Pre-sented By Junior High School "Huckleberry Finn," a comedy in three-acts, will be presented next Friday night, March 8th, in the High School auditorium by players from the Junior high school. Edgar Ed-gar Booth is the director, and special spec-ial musical numbers will be given under the direction of K- J. Bird-The Bird-The curtain raises at 8 o'clock sharp- A very low fee of admission admis-sion is being charged. This rollicking play, in a moderately moder-ately modern setting of a small, quaint Missouri town, is based on the immortal story by Mark Twain-The Twain-The presentation has a special appeal ap-peal to both young and old. The cast, selected from among forty students who tried out for parts is: Aunt Polly, who is "so nervous" Evelyn Peck. Ruth Watson, her sister Maxine Taylor. Mary Jane, their young niece Lu- cile Walker. Fred Raymond, in love with Ruth Thornton Strong-Melba Strong-Melba White, colored maid Ha Christensen-Clara Christensen-Clara Woppinger, Deaconess of the Church Helen Smith. Amy Woppinger, her irrepressible sister Virginia Shelley. Huckleberry Finn, who loves to play pranks Wayne C. Booth. John Finn, his father Mack Cunningham-Tom Sawyer, Huck's Pal and Comrade Com-rade Earl Kelly. |
