Show Pleasant Grove Locals i Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Gaili of Midway, Mid-way, were guests at the J. P. Fugal home, Sunday. Miss Kflie Warnick spent the week end in Salt Ike, as the guest of Miss Maud Tucktield. Mr. and Mrs. Chris Fugal and Mr. ami Mrs. W. II. Hone, are spending this week in Yellowstone Park. Mrs. Ethel West returned home Friday, after several 'days visit with friends and relatives in Salt Lake. Mrs. Fern Edwards and family and Mrs. Jessie Wadley, visited with friends and relatives in Springville Wednesday. Miss Effie WarnJck arid Miss Ange-lyn Ange-lyn Warnlck attended an Economics social at the B. Y. U. univertity in Provo on Tuesday evening. Eliaa Pierce has been 111 part of the past week. During hla absence from duty, Bert Cooper has taken care of the mail messenger service. Mrs. Howard Warnlck and family returned home the first of, the week from a two week's camping trip at the Warnlck cabin, in American Fork canyon. Miss Ellen Jarvis of Salt Lake, is visiting this week with her aunt, Mrs. Ethel West, and family. Erina Keetch and Miriam Kirk who are employed at the Murray Hospital spent the week-end with their parents. par-ents. Mis3 Amie Walker and Mr. and Mrs. George Lovell, were guests of Mrs. E. B. Walker and family, Sunday. Sun-day. Miss Ruth Fage, nurse at the Murray Mur-ray hospital is spending her vacation at home with her mother, Mrs. Mary j B. Fage. I Miss Rose Gillman arid Ruby Harper Harp-er visited at the L- D. S. Hospital Wednesday, with Misa Emily Meac-ham, Meac-ham, who has been ill there for the past two weeks. The Third Ward Sunday School officers held a preparation meeting and social at the home of Mr. and Mrs. J. P.Fugal Monday. After business busi-ness matters were settled, a social hour arid refreshments were enjoyed. A. P. Warnick left August 11 for Los Angeles, California, to attend the University of Southern California summer school. He will remain in Callfarnia until school begins here-A here-A special course is given at the California Cali-fornia school for principals and Supervisors. Mr. and Mrs. C L. Johnson made a business trip to Salt Lake, Thursday. Thurs-day. Mr. and Mrs. O. Stone of Vineyard, were guests of Mrs. Helen Carson Tuesday. John H. West has been visiting the past week with his sister, Mrs. Hugh Jacobs, at Heber. Mrs. Inez Humphries Anderson of Provo, visited several days this week at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs- F. S. Humphries- Ebben Dibble, who is employed at Tooele, came to Pleasant Grove to attend the funeral of Arthur Carson. Mrs. William Coles and daughter. May, of Salt Lake, spent the past week with her sister, Mrs. John H. West, arid family. Mr- and Mrs. George Ball and family, and Mr. and Mrs. K. J. Ball and family of Salt Lake, were guests at the home of their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Ball, 'this week. Mrs. Ruth Peterson McDaniel of Salt Lake, is at the home of her parents, M'r. and Mrs. James C Peterson, Pet-erson, with a. new baby boy, born Saturday. Mother and baby are doing nicely. Mrs. Pearl Olpin Whitehead and baby of Salt Lake is visiting this week with her mother, Mrs. Alvira Olpin. Mrs. Gennleve Ellsworth and children of Payson, have been visiting visit-ing relatives and friends here for the past week. Miss Mary Foutz, who f.1 taking training at he L. D. S. Hospital, visited Sunday with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Foutz. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Hilton and family, enjoyed a trip to Granddatidy lakes this week, as a part of Mr. Hilton's Hil-ton's vacation from his work on the R. F. D. mail route. Elder David 0. McKay and wife of Salt Lake, and President W. W- War-nick War-nick and wife, were the guests of Mr. and Mrs. R. D. Wadley arid family fami-ly at dinner Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. H. C. Robertson, Mr. arid Mrs. Clifton Clark, Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Gray and Mr- and Mrs. Dewey Adamson enjoyed a trip to Saltair Wednesday evening. Mrs. Merrill Warnick and children, and Miss Ruth Eldredge of Granger, visited with Mrs. Orin Baird at Provo, Pro-vo, Thursday afternoon. Mrs. Baird, Mrs. Warnick arid Miss Eldredge are sisters. Tuesday Mrs. W. W. Warnick, president of the Manila Wartl Primary, Pri-mary, entertained the Trail Builders at her home. The hoys passed some of their required tests and enjoyed games and refreshments. Mrs. L. P. Harvey attended a social at the S. L. Chipman home in American Fork Wednesday, in honor of Mrs. A. Ray Olpin, who leaves soon for New York, after spending the summer here with' relatives. Last Saturday afternoon a "shay" party at the Timpanogos Cave Camtp was enjoyed by the Misses Marvel Atwood, Angelyn Warnick, Dorothy Smith, Miriam Warnick and Lucille Wadley. Monday Anson Call and Merrill Warnick Visited all of the 4-H club leaders and instructed them how to prepare their pure bred calves for exhibit at the county fair, in Seppt. Mr. and Mrs. George Lovell and baby Floyd, and Miss Amie Walker, motored to Oak City last Sunday, to visit with their sister. On their return re-turn home Miss Amie Walker stopped at Nephi to visit with her brother, paul, and family. Mr. and Mrs. Lovell and baby returned home, Wednesday. Wed-nesday. Mr. and Mrs. R. E. Moffett left Thursday for Manti. Mr. Moffett will teach in the schools there. Mr. and Mrs. Moffett have endeared themselves them-selves to the people of this city. Both are fine public servants and have always geen ready to aid in all public entertainments. Mrs. Florence Dickerson McCown and children of California returned home the first of the week, after several weeks' visit with her parenls, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph A. Dickerson. Wadley, in honor of Vilace Radmall, who left Tuesday for I-ovell, Wyoming, where he expects to be employed by the J-C. J-C. Penney Co. Miss Viola West entertained Monday Mon-day afternoon at a social in honor of Mrs. Gennieve EUsowrth of Payson. Mrs. Ellsworth and Miss West taught in the schools of Pleasant Grove at the same time, previous to Mrs. Ellsworth's Ells-worth's moving to Payson four years ugo. Most of the guests were associate asso-ciate teachers of the guest of honor as follows: Mrs. Mary Maxfield, Miss Emma Bush, Mrs. Martha Johnson John-son and daughter, Vola, Mrs. Daisy: Newman Nielsen, Miss Elizageth Newman, Dean Marrott Poulson, Rose Bezzant Radmall, Velma Rasmussen and Lacy White- The afternoon was spent in school teaching reminences, . jokes and stories.
