Show Pleasant Grove Locals I j Fifteen members of the junior class enjoyed a swimming party at Saratoga last Saturday. Miss Lucille Boren and Miss Laura Robbins of Santaquin, were Salt Lake visitors Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Hatch of Woodruff, Arizona, are visiting here with the Farr family. , The Sunday School of the Lindon ward enjoyed a dance in the Lindon Lin-don Hall Wednesday evening. Mrs. Owen Lomax of Nephi, is visiting for a few days with the Misses Viola and Josephine West. Miss Matea Larson who has been ill for thirteen weeks is able to be about her home work again. Friday evening the Sunday School officers and teachers of Manila held a meeting and social in the scout room. Bishop S. L. Swenson is ill at his home. Miss Florence Harper of Salt Lake, 'spent the week-end with relatives here. Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Jacobs of Heber, Heb-er, were guests of Mr. and Mrs. H. W. Jacobs Friday. Mr. and Mrs. Junius Banks were guests Sunday of their mother, Mrs. Eliza Banks. Warren Star and Fay Cardon of Logan, were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Glade Linebaugh Sunday. ' Miss Kay Prince of Provo was visiting last week with ' her sister, Mrs. E. A. Beck and family. Mrs. Joseph A. Dickerson spent the week-end in Nephi with her husband who is employed there. Miss Rena Nielson who is employed employ-ed in Salt Lake spent Sunday with 1 her mother, Mrs. Henson Nielson. . i George Gourley won first place in the pole vault contest for the "Y" at Salt Lake City last Saturday. The "M" Men- and Gleaner Girls of the Second ward enjoyed a swimming swim-ming party at Saratoga last Tuesday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Elvin Farr announce the birth of a fine baby boy Thursday, Thurs-day, April 27. All concerned are doing do-ing nicely. Adams. Miss Rowena Ro-wena Judd of Oakley, Idaho, spent a day during the ' week with her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Adams. Mrs. Merrill N. Warnick entertained enter-tained at a children's party Monday afternoon in honor of the eighth birthday of her son, Eldredge. The afternoon was spent in childrens games. Dainty refreshments were j served. Sixteen little guests were present. Mrs. Hyrum Carlson returned to her home in 'Charleston Saturday, Mr. and Mrs. Angus Wilson, Mrs. Margaret Wilson and Mrs. D. M. Wadley accompanied her and spent the day visiting there. Newman, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Clayton and Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Rogers. j Twenty junior high school boys, the class in agriculture, formed an Iris Club recently, Ralph Thome acting as purchasing agent. Forty Iris bulbs were purchased, all different dif-ferent colors. Each boy will have two bulbs each and keep a record of the kind they purchased, as the bulbs multiply the boys will exchange with each other until all varieties are owned by each boy. The bulbs came from the A. B. Katcamer Farms at Macedon, New York, the largest iris farm in the world. Mrs. Myrtle Greene entertained last Friday evening in honor of her A group of relatives and old friends gave a pleasant party Wednesday evening in honor of Mrs. La Rue ! Smith at her home. The time was ; spent in games and social' chat. A picnic luncheon was served and enjoyed en-joyed by the following guests: Cum-Imorah Cum-Imorah Cullimore, Avis Smith, Ethel ! Drysdale. Mary Hill, Sadie Chandler, Jennie Halliday, Vera Matthews, Ora Thome, Merle Ccombs, D. Smith, Stella Peay and Emeretta Smith. daughter Wilma's 13th birthday. The evening was spent in progressive bridge,' Mrs. Le Roy Thome acting as teacher in the game for the young folks. Miss Cleo Thome proved champion and won frst prize, Miss Ruby Johnson won the booby prizes. One of the special features of the party was a beautiful birthday cake containing thirteen candles which was cut by Miss Wilma and served as part of the refreshments. Twenty five guests were present.
