Show Successful Party Enjoyed By Relief Society One of the most successful anniversary anni-versary parties ever given by the Relief Society Association was held Wednesday night when the six wards of the Alpine stake met in the basement of the tabernacle. The hall was cleverly decorated in St. Patrick colors and huge shamrock sham-rock leaves. A large crowd enjoyed the dance mixers and much merriment merri-ment was caused by the awarding of potted primroses. The following persons received these prizes for various reasons: Mrs. Eli Hawkins, for being the oldest member of the Relief Society present; Mrs. LaRue Morton, the youngest member of the Relief Society present; Mr. and Mrs. Joseph ' Nicholes and Mr. and Mrs. -Edward Booth received plants for being the best dancers in attendance; at-tendance; Mrs. Terry of Alpine, traveling the longest distance to attend at-tend the party; Mrs. Hyde of Highland High-land and John Beck of American Fork, the most popular lady and man present. Several good dance mixers were enjoyed and a Marionette number under the direction of Mrs. Young was cleverly executed. Mrs. Roy Steele was the general chairman and Mrs. Ora H. Chipman Jiad 'charge of the entertainment with the following committees: Decorations, Dec-orations, Maud Thornton and Merl-ing Merl-ing Clyde; prizes, Laura Timpson and Mary Wootton; advertising, Edna Ed-na ' Boley and Nell Julian; music, Mrs. Lester Kirk and Mrs. Reed Robinson. o |
