Show Alpine News Funeral services were held in the Alpine ward chapel Sunday, June 27, for Alice Beck, seven-year-old daughter of J. Henry and Buena Beck, with Earl M. Devey in charge. A musical prelude was played by Ferrin Sager and Vonda Hall. The opening song, a duet, "I Think When I Read That Sweet Story" was sung by Velma Devey and Luella Barnes. The invocation was offered by John A. Whitby, after which Alice Vance sang "Your Sweet Little Rosebud Has Left You". A short reading, which she had composed was read by Mrs. May H. Marsh and Ferrin Sager played a violin solo, accompanied accom-panied by Vonda Hall. Speakers for the occasion were, Aaron J. Burgess, Joseph F. Marsh and Bishop E. W. Burgess. The closing song, "Lullaby and Good Night" was sung by Erma Bateman and Betha Clark. The benediction was offered by Joseph L. Bair. Interment In-terment was made in the American Fork City cemetery where the grave was dedicated by Omer E. Hall. Sixteen of her little playmates were flower girls. Alice Beck was born at Magna, Utah, April 22, 1930. She died at her home in Alpine, Utah, early Friday morning, June 25, 1937, after a two months illness from heart trouble. She is survived by her parents and the following brothers and sisters, sis-ters, Daryl, Gay, Vema, Ramah, i Jewell and Carola. Her three ! grandparents Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Healey and Mrs. Mary Jane Beck. Gay Beck of Alpine left early Wednesday morning for Yellowstone Yellow-stone park on the excursion sponsored spon-sored for their carriers by the Salt Lake Tribune-Telegram. Miss Nell Hunter, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hunter, who Is employed in Salt Lake City is spending her vacation in Los Angeles. Ange-les. She expects to be gone about a week. |
