The Chamber of Commerce have been active ac-tive Hie past, year in purchasing the Ilrovvn property and presenting it to the oily ::s an addilion to the city nark. The old house lias been torn down and the property made ready for parking purposes. They have cooperated with the City Fathers in laying out. plans for its beautifica-I beautifica-I ion. The gravel for all the paths was hauled from the point of the mountain under the direction of the Chamber of Commerce. During the coining year a plan for park beautl-licallon beautl-licallon and cifp upkeep will be taken over. Flowers and shrubs will be planted in the City Park and other city bcaul ideation plans be matured. The erection of an appropriate Band Ktaud and new public toilets at the Cily Park will come in for their share of atlention. In cooperation with the City Fathers Fath-ers and the Lions Club projects beneficial bene-ficial to cemetery perpetual upkeep and city park (permanent care and oth er community projects will be sponsored. spon-sored. A roof for the Ball Park grandstand is needed and extensive race track improvements icould jbe taken up and be worth while projects for city betterment. A campaign for the planting of flowers around public and privato property could be fostered. foster-ed. It is customary for every community communi-ty to believe that their natural oon-tions oon-tions are the best. We are no exception excep-tion to tlie rule. Our city, with it's shining Utah Iake to the west, and towering Timpanogos at the east, is unexcelled for its finest quality of fruit. It's citizens are industrous and free hearted people, willing to aid in any public service. These are only a few of the activities undertaken and accomplished by the Chamber of Commerce. As citizens desdreous of a bagger and better Pleasant Grove let the Chamber of Commerce assist in these community problems. You will find this organization ready at any time to iplunge into activity to accomplish something to the physical |
