The promotion of public health, hygiene, and sanitation, especially among those who need Instruction and guidance in the care and feeding of children are principles which J.ionism holds high as a means for belter and more cfllcient citizens for the future generations. Lions Clubs are service clubs. Service Ser-vice can be expressed only by activity. activi-ty. A jnember of a Lions Club is an active citizen of the community and with the co-operation of a club members, mem-bers, a civic organization of this , ch:i.rao'er can do a wonderful work for the welfare and upbuilding of the homo, the city, and the nation. Lions are great builders, for they have a sure foundation on which to build. Each Lions Club is a member or an International Association and through the co-operation of these l!u.';7 clubs, strength is given to each one, so that their work is made easy and success can only be the final goal. Pleasant Grove has a Lions Club ond the citizens can well be proud of such an organization right here In their own home town. Other communities com-munities have Lions Clubs, and those towns are growing and are known throughout the country as busy and thriving towns. Enthusiasm is the j greatest asset in the world. It beats, money, power, and influence. If the, peo,ple of Pleasant Grove will work J with the Lions Club, become enthused enthus-ed with its ideals and the work it can accomplish, it is a sure thing Pleasant Grove can and will grow, and become a mecca for all good, active ac-tive and prosperous people of our country. A Lions Club is governed by a board of directorg and its activities are carried out by all members work- |
