Show Alpine Gold and Green Ball Success The Alpine ward annual Gold and Green ball, held Thursday evening la the gymnasium of the ward chapel was a very lovely affair. The hall was elaborately decorated in gold and green, the M. I. A. colors, the green stand being surmounted by a gold throne for the queen. The outstanding event of the evening eve-ning was the coronation of the queen which took place promptly at 9:30 robed with a royal red cape trimmed with white fur. Her crown was of gold. Miss Whitby's attendants and their escorts were Miss Mary Duns-don Duns-don and Evan Bair, and Miss Launa Peterson and Dale Burgess. These young ladies were lovely in gowns of blue and pink chiffon. Following the coronation of the queen, the 12 couples demonstrated "The Gleam Waltz", "Gold and Green Caprice" and the "Aloha Fox Trot," The queen and her attendants attend-ants then left the stand and were escorted to the dance floor by their partners. p. m. amid the blare of trumpets. The queen was preceded by a page boy dressed in tails and a top coat and two flower girls arrayed in green formal evening dresses. Gary Smith, son of Mr. and Mrs. Dean Smith, was page boy. Jeanne Moyle, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wendell Moyle, and Katherine Vance, daughter daugh-ter of Mr. and Mrs. Van Vance, were flower girls. Following the entrance of the page boy and flower girls came the queen, Miss LaRee Whitby, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John A. Whitby, and her escort, Reed Burgess. Bur-gess.
