Show Ladies Clubs To Meet A convention of the First District Federated clubs, will be held in Springville Saturday, April 15. Mrs. Martha Harrison, president of the Mother's Study club, is general chairman. Meetings will convene in the Second Sec-ond ward chapel, on South Main street, at 10 a. m. and at 1 p. m. A visit to the national art exhibit at the Springville High School, is scheduled as the concluding event. Luncheon will be served at the Second ward banquet hall at noon, under direction of the M. I. A. The program will be in charge of Mrs. William Chipman of American Fork, district president. Mrs. Har-' old Christensen, representing the Home Culture Club, will give the address of welcome. Mrs. Eliza Thorn of the Alpha Beta club will read the litany. Mrs. Mae Huntington, Hunting-ton, of the Women's Study club, will give high lights of the 1933 high school art exhibit. Mrs. J. W. Aird, Provo and Mrs. B. W. Men-denhall, Men-denhall, district director, will give addresses. Mrs. Hannah C. Packard, Pack-ard, Provo will direot musical numbers. num-bers. Presidents and vice presidents presi-dents of the three federated clubs of Springville, will act as reception committee: Mrs. Lillian Huntington, Hunting-ton, Mrs. Ella Clyde, Alpha Beta club; Mrs. Martha Harrison, Mrs. Beulah Whiting Mother's club; Mrs. E. V. Boorman, Mrs. Harold Christensen, Home Culture club; Mrs. Roy Wightman, Mrs. Harold Alleman and Mrs. M. W. Bird are in charge of seating and luncheon reservations. The First District Federation includes in-cludes Lehi, American Fork, Provo, Springville, Payson, Spanish Fork, Nephi, Eureka and Delta. Mrs. Chipman reports that all ladies, whether they be affiliated with any certain club or not, are cordially invited to attend the convention, con-vention, especially are all ladies interested, in-terested, invited to join the group in visiting the art exhibit in the afternoon at one o'clock where a number of paintings will be studied stud-ied and the general exhibit discussed. |
