Phillips, 14, while on an Easter hike stopped at the Dewey lime kilm and found a half keg of powder, (18 lbs.) and carried it to the Seth Phillips home. While pouring the powder from one can to another, the boys claim it exploded. The Nelson boy was blown out of the sheep wagon they were in. All were badly burned about the hands and face, - ... Ten Years Ago Now Little Miss Jean Richins, 6 year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Richins, fell into the hole of the city gravel pit bed Sunday. Fred Smith who was passing saw her fall in. There was 6 feet of water in the hole and prompt action saved the child's life. Ten Years Ago Now The bishops of the six wards of Pleasant Grove precinct, met and decided to erect a new seminary building on the Park property nearest near-est the High School. The building is to consist of two rooms for class work. Ten Years Ago Now The city is planning a cleanup campaign. J. J. Ten Years Ago Now Clarence R. Carlson, 23, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lsanc R. C;uison, died Wednesday afternoon at the American Ameri-can Fork hospital of heart trouble. She will be head of the English Department. Ten Years Ago Now H. W. Jacobs, manager of the Pleasant Grove Canning Co. returned return-ed Saturday from a trip to Montana points on business. Mr. Jacobs reports re-ports things are booming at Butte, Montana. All miners who want work are given jobs and the mines will run full blast all summer. Ten Tears Ago Now A number of students of the High SchcKjd who are studying agriculture, attended the stock show in Salt Lake Friday.
