Clyde entertained Saturday evening in compliment to her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Growers, who have moved to Nephi to make their home. Bridge was played progressively progres-sively at three tables, prizes being won by Rulon Nicholes, Mrs. Kenneth Ken-neth Singleton and Albert Allen. A delicious lunch was served at the small tables. The color scheme for the entertaining rooms were of patriotic pat-riotic suggestion. The guests were Messrs. and Mesdames Rulon Nicholes, Nich-oles, Kenneth Brown, Kenneth Singleton and Albert Allen of this city; Mr. and Mrs. Dean Anderson of Lehi. Mrs. Joseph Jolley of Moroni, Is a visitor here with her daughter, Mrs Edward Abel, and family. Miss La Rue Tuttle of Gleenwood, I Springs, Colorado, is visiting here with her aunt, Mrs. G. Mr. and Mrs. Glen Taylor, Mr. and Mrs. David Davis left early Thursday Thurs-day morning in the Davis car for St. Louis, Mo., where they will represent the local Lions Club at the international inter-national convention next week. The party will then motor on to Chicago where the World's Fair will be the big attraction. They will be away about three weeks. Carl Taylor of Provo, brother of Manager Glen Taylor, and Jennie Boshard of Provo will be in the Dixon-Taylor Russell Store here in the absence of Mr and Mrs. Taylor, and Wendell Bush is in charge of the Owl Inn while Mr. Davis is away. Mrs. W. H. Gardner, Mr. and Mrs. John Myers and son Gareth with Mr. and Mrs. Golden S. Baxter Bax-ter of Sandy attended the wedding last Sunday afternoon of Miss Fon-tella Fon-tella Gardner and Ross Simmons both of Salt Lake. The marriage took place at the home of the bride's step-mother, Mrs. R. W. Gardner, and the ceremony was performed at 3 o'clock by Bishop Thomas Clawson of the Eighteenth ward. The bride was attended by her twin sister, Miss .Luella Gardner and Miss Genice Preston of Salt Lake and the best man was Boyd Reynolds. The rooms were decorated in summer flowers. A family dinner was served in the early evening. The bride is the daughter of the late R. W. Gardner formerly of this city.
